
Licenses are required to access and utilize specific features and functionalities of A10 Control and registered Thunder devices. By default, licenses in A10 Control are created and managed using the Global License Manager (GLM), which requires valid GLM credentials. For more information, see A10 Control Licensing.

To configure and activate a license in A10 Control, perform the following steps:
Create a license in GLM Portal.
Click Create License.
The license appears in the GLM Overview - Info tab.

Activate the license with the Controller scope.
RHEL license activation on ACOS device from A10 control is supported through A10 Control License Manager (ALM).
RHEL license support is only available at Controller level.
ACOS device can pull the RHEL license from ALM. Run the following CLI command on thunder device to pull the RHEL license from ALM:
glm interval <num> glm use-mgmt-port glm token vThXXXX glm enterprise <A10_Control_Management_Interace_IP> glm enterprise-request-type [fqdn | self-signed | self-signed-pull-cert] glm port <num> glm appliance-name <string>
glm allocate-bandwidth <num> glm send license-request

Check the Billing Serials and other license details.
Verify the activation in A10 Control, navigate to License Management > License Manager > License section > expand the license row > review the Activations. For more information, see License Management .
Activations created by Thunder device irrespective of how the license is pushed. It could be through A10 Control or Device CLI.
Run the following commands on the Thunder device:
glm interval <num> glm use-mgmt-port glm token vThXXXX glm enterprise <A10_Control_Management_Interace_IP> glm enterprise-request-type [fqdn | self-signed | self-signed-pull-cert] glm port <num> glm appliance-name <string>
glm allocate-bandwidth <num> glm send license-request
