Upgrade Device Images

The Upgrade Device Image feature allows Organization Admins to upgrade the ACOS software image on one or more devices. It provides a smooth and automated process with:

To upgrade the image for a device, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the A10 Control home page > Organization-Admin scope > Utilities > Images Upgrade > Scheduled Upgrades tab.
  2. On the Scheduled Upgrades tab, click + Schedule to select Device Upgrade.
  3. On Device Upgrade page, enter or select the following details:

    Field Description

    Select an Image

    Select an ACOS upgrade image. To upload image in A10 Control, see Upload Device Images .

    Target Device(s)

    Select the device(s) that you want to upgrade.

    Drive

    Select Hard Disk (HD) or Compact Flash (CF) drive.

    Disk

    Select Primary or Secondary disk to upgrade.

    NOTE: It is recommended to upgrade the non-active disk. Before proceeding, ensure both disks have the same running configuration by executing the following command using Device CLI template:
    link startup-config <current-startup-config> <non-active-disk> all-partitions

    Save config before upgrade

    Toggle Enabled to save running configurations.

    Reboot after upgrade

    Toggle Enabled to reboot devices automatically after upgrade.

    When

    Select when to upgrade the image. Options:

    • schedule
    • now

    Starts on

    If Schedule is selected, then choose the date and time of the upgrade using the calendar.

    Time Zone

     If Schedule is selected, then choose the time zone from the drop-down.

    Pre/Post Check Template

    (Optional) Select the pre/post template need for upgrade validation. For more information, see Configure CLI Templates.

  4. Click Upgrade.

To delete a scheduled device upgrade, perform the following steps:

  1. On the Scheduled Upgrades tab, select the required device upgrade.
  2. Click the Kebab menu to select Delete.
