Create a Cloud Mitigation Route

Perform the following steps to create a Cloud Mitigation route:

  1. Go to Configuration > BGP > Routes. Alternatively, click the Cloud Mitigation menu.
  2. Click Create and select Cloud Mitigation Route to create a dedicated route for cloud mitigation.
  3. On the Create Mitigation Route page, enter the following details:

    Field

    Purpose

    BGP Route Prefix Enter an IPv4 address, which should have minimum /24 subnet.
    Mitigator Group Select a mitigator group. See Device Groups.
    Route Map

    BGP Route Map: Select a BGP Route Map for Cloud Mitigation. The route maps that are enabled for cloud mitigation and are associated with a mitigator group will be available for routing. To know how to create a BGP route map, see BGP Route Map.

    In order to create a BGP Route for Cloud Mitigation, first a Route Map must be created with "Cloud Mitigation" checkbox selected, see Create a BGP Route Map.

    NOTE: If a normal BGP route and a Cloud Mitigation route are created with the same BGP Route Prefix, the normal BGP route gets replaced by the latter.
    NOTE: If you enter an IP/subnet that is not part of any zone, a caution appears.
    Auto remove on stop mitigation

    Select this option to stop traffic routing from this route map when the mitigation stops.

  5. Perform one of the following actions:

    • Save—Click Save to save your configuration to apply later.
    • Save & Deploy— Click Save & Deploy to save and deploy the Cloud Mitigated Route configuration on the mitigator devices.
