Email Server

The Email Server setup ensures that A10 Control delivers the system generated notifications, alerts, onboarding emails, and password recovery instructions. Also, the dashboard provides options to customize the content of email messages sent to users.

Navigate to System > Notifications > Email to manage email server:

Whenever a new organization or user is added to the system, A10 Control sends a user welcome email and an activation email with all user credentials or a password reset emails to the existing customers. The dashboard offers options to configure the content of the email.

Under the Email Server section, click the Kebab menu to perform the following:

• Add or Edit Email Server: Click Edit to edit an email server configurations.
• Send Test Mail: Click Send Test Mail to send a test mail.
• Reset Config: Click Reset Config to reset the email server configurations.

Add or Edit Email Server

To edit an email server configuration:

1. Navigate to System.
2. Click the Kebab menu in the Email Server section, and then click Edit.

3. On the Edit Email Server Configuration page, you can update the following:

   Field	Description
   Server Address	The IPv4 or IPv6 address or fully-qualified domain name of an email server using SMTP (Simple Message Transfer Protocol).
   Server Port	The protocol port from which email messages are sent to the SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server.
   Server User Name	The server username to access the SMTP server.
   Server Password	The server password to access the SMTP server.
   From Email Address	The source email address from which an email is sent.
   Email Name	An email name to identify and login.
   To Email Address	The email address to receive email.

4. Click Save.

5. (Optional) Click Send Test Mail to send a test mail.

Best Practices for Email Server Configuration

• Use a trusted SMTP server (such as Office 365, Gmail, or a secure enterprise mail server).
• Always enable authentication with a valid username and password.
• Configure TLS/SSL encryption to secure email communication.
• Ensure the “From Email Address” uses a valid domain to prevent messages from being flagged as spam.
• Keep recipient lists (To Email Address) up to date to avoid delivery failures.
• Test email delivery after configuration to confirm that system notifications are being sent and received.
